WHAT: Ensemble recital utilizing the two grand pianos in the sanctuary, a Yamaha 6-foot grand and a Steinway 9-foot concert grand. The instruments are on two different levels at the front of the church. The church is located at 99 S. Waverly St. Shillington 19609
TYPES OF ENSEMBLES: Duo, trios, quartets performing on one or two pianos. (Four students could simultaneously play the same duet on two pianos, too.) While this recital will feature piano repertoire, we welcome instrumental and vocal ensembles.
REPERTOIRE: Any genre is welcome (no prepared piano). Memory not required.
WHO: RMTA teachers with each other, with their students, with their friends. All ages and levels welcome. Each group will perform one number, unless we need to fill more time. RMTA teachers are charged with selecting their music, choosing the performers and rehearsing the music to performance level.
REHEARSALS: There will be some time for individual rehearsals at the church during the two weeks prior to the concert. Yocum Institute has also offered rehearsal space in around their regular schedule. Details tba on both.
REGISTRATION: Registration will be via email to Millie. You’ll need the send following information:
- RMTA teacher name & email
- Repertoire full title (including opus, movement, etc) and composer’s full name, arranger’s name, if any
- Length of performance
- Performers’ names and parts (Primo, Secondo, Piano I, Piano II)
The information you provide is what will appear in the program, so check your spelling! We’re hoping to avoid duplicates titles (unless it’s a different arrangement); so, the sooner you register your information the better.
