RMTA invites you to join our merry band of music lovers and become a ”FRIEND OF RMTA” or a “COMMUNITY PARTNER”.  Founded in 1926 by a small group of independent music teachers, RMTA provides a variety of educational and performance opportunities for its members, their students and our community.

The benefits are….

FRIENDS – $40 annually
Friends are active teachers, retired teachers, teachers-in-training, professional musicians, amateur musicians, music lovers of all kind who reside in and/or teach in Berks County – or surrounding counties! –  who want to support the music education community.

  • Receive all RMTA correspondence
  • May attend or participate in locally sponsored events at no cost
  • If you are an active teacher, your students may participate in locally sponsored events – recitals, contests, festivals, projects. (Student fees may apply.)
  • Also, if you are an active teacher, you may be included on the RMTA website teacher referral listing found under the menu item “Find a Teacher”. Take a look at the page to see what information to include.)
    (Friends do not have voting privileges or have access to RMTA Student Scholarships.)

COMMUNITY PARTNERS – $100 annually
Community Partners are businesses, music ensembles and any organization dedicated to cultivating music excellence in our community.

  • Their logo and/or business card will appear on the RMTA website for one year
  • They will be acknowledged at events and in recital programs.
  • Renewable July 1 of each year
